The Centennial Churches: SS Peter and Paul and Holy Ghost
Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church was built in 1917, ten years after the Ukrainian congregation was formed.  The church is adorned with icons "written" by local iconographer Ihor Turzan.  Icons around the statuary depict the twelve major feast days of the church, including all of the holy days of obligation.  The large crystal chandelier, which hangs from the center of the church, was imported from Spain in the 1980's.  All major figures in the stained glass window are orignal, and are approximately seventy to eighty years old.
Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Church was built in 1914. The foundation was made from steel donated to the congregation by the American Bridge Company.  The church is adorned with beautiully "written" icons and an iconostatsis (altar screen).  The ornate crystal and brass chandelier, located at the center of the nave, was purchased from the  I. Albert Co., of New York, NY, and was dedicated in November, 1954 in memory of the twelve men of the parish who perished in World War II.
